Job Title: Railcar Inspector
Location: Pueblo, CO
Responsible for performing various types of railcar inspections as directed by supervisor and customer scope. Must be capable to work in inclement weather conditions, able to walk 8 hours, stand, bend, climb and walk on or about railcars along various types of rough rail sidings in railyards, storage tracks, repair shops, and other areas where cars may be located.
Must be able lift or carry up to 25lbs of equipment while performing regular duties of inspection.
Must be knowledgeable with AREMA, AAR/FRA Field Manual rules and regulations and capable of determining railcar body & component defects and knowledgeable in knowing differences of cosmetic defects verses defects requiring repairs. Should also be able to estimate repair costs on specific jobs as required.
Five (5) plus years of experience inspecting railcars for defects
Communication Skills: Good communication skills, knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Programs specifically Word and Excel. Well versed in taking good photos in the field and applying to written reports.
High School diploma-GED
