My Client is a principal contracting company who undertake Civil Engineering, Highways and Earthworks
The company is currently growing year on year, has an increasing turnover of £60 million and has recently taken on multiple Civils & Earthworks projects throughout the UK.
They have a friendly and personable team, have been trading many years and have low staff attrition.
Due to new projects, workforce expansion and significant growth plans for 2021, my Client are now looking for a HR Advisor to work from their Head office location in Worcester.
Engage with all levels of the workforce to ensure harmonious employee relations, taking appropriate formal or informal steps to resolve conflicts and disputes.
Provide robust support in the delivery of disciplinary, grievance and capability processes to ensure the maintenance of company standards in terms of conduct, process compliance and performance.
To maintain accurate and easily retrievable records for all ER cases.
Ensuring HR best practice is embedded in the business by collaborating with the Service Centre HR team to ensure consistency in delivery.
Work collaboratively with the HR Service Centre team to ensure the accuracy of documentation and records are not compromised.
Mentor and support the HR Service Centre.
Coaching management to enhance their skills in resolving people issues and conflict.
Coach management in the effective use of performance tools and processes, ensuring that the principles are applied consistently and fairly to deliver outcomes that drive performance and deliver business objectives.
Work proactively with the management team to manage key people risks in the business and taking positive steps to resolve before these before they become problems for the business.
To advise management on key organisational structure and role issues to ensure that the optimum structure for the business is embedded.
Work with the management team and central teams to support and development workforce plans including talent and succession plans.
To understand the specific reward needs for the business and work with the management team to implement business focused and cost effective reward solutions.
To build constructive relationships with L&D and work with them to ensure the development needs of the business are met and ensure that compliance requirements are achieved. Where needed, design and deliver training in collaboration with L&D.
To coordinate and manage key HR projects across the wider business as directed by the HR Manager and Director.
Up to date knowledge of employment law and best practice HR policy and practice
Resourcing and workforce planning
Graduate of the CIPD
Mid to Senior level experience as an HR practitioner
Proven track record of handling a range of complex employee relations issues and casework
Mix of private and not for profit experience
