At Jacobs, we'retransforming intangible ideas into innovative solutionsdesigning the future-today. Asan Entry Level Electrical Engineer based from Warrington Offices, you willtoo. Jacobs has long term contracts with the majority of the UK/Ireland's regulated Water Companies and we want to grow our Water and Environment team to meet the ever increasing demand within this sector. Our UK/Ireland team are delivering projects for these Clients from concept stage through to construction and we are looking for enthusiastic, broad minded and flexible staff to join this highly successfully team.
Water is a natural asset that we need to manage sensitively. Climate change is influencing the availability and quality of this natural asset and much of the work that we undertake for our Clients is finding innovative solutions to balance the human / business need, with the long-term environmental impact. An important element of any water network are the assets needed to manage the water distribution; pumping station, storm overflows, treatment works, splitter channels, pumped mains etc and the design of these all require the input of our dedicated Electrical Engineering and ICA (Instrumentation, Control and Automation) team.
The successful person will join a respected and ambitious company with excellent career prospects both local and internationally. You will work as part of a diverse and highly skilled team of Water, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical and Environmental engineers, providing support and advice to a wide range of clients. There will be opportunities to experience different roles within the Water and Environment team aimed at developing your career.
Here's What You'll Need:
- BEng / BSc in Electrical Engineering or similar, graduating in 2021
- Flexibility to travel for work
- A commitment to the pursuit of becoming a chartered professional and continuous professional development (CPD)
Ideally, here's what you'll also have:
- Proven communication skills; both verbally and written
- Demonstrated a previous interest in working in the Engineering Sector
- Full driving licence
