Perform maintenance of the Earth Terminal Complex (ETC), which includes dual AN/GSC-39C Defense Satellite Communications Systems (DSCS), the Standardized Tactical Entry Point (STEP) facility, and the Regional Hub Node (RHN). Maintain sub-components including the satellite ground station, BASEBAND multiplexing and de-multiplexing equipment, routing equipment, power generation equipment, power distribution and uninterruptible power supplies, and TMDE. Provide circuit troubleshooting, outage reporting, pulications, and record keeping. Coordinate with external agencies in the provisioning, engineering, and activation of 42 DSCS satellite trunks, STEP assets, associated trunks, and the RHN. Develop plans and procedures to provide maximum mission support with minimal impact to the systems. Respond to outages and restore communications. Establish communication circuit diagrams. Ensure RHN commercial terminals are operated in compliance with FCC rules and policies. Develop Satellite Access Authorization (SAA) mission parameters. Obtain approvals for commercial earth terminal access to commercial satellites. Configure equipment in accordance with SAA parameters and develop plans to users. Determine COMSEC keys for the mission, and de-conflict configuration and COMSEC issues.

Certification Requirements: DoD 8570 Baseline Certification required. iDirect and CISCO certifications are desirable.
Experience Requirements: Seven (7) years of specialized experience related to satellite communications systems and ground stations is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. .
