Jacobs is creating an enviable reputation in England 's infrastructure consultancy sector as a result of a portfolio of high profile projects with Highways England, National Grid, Anglian Water, and Local Authorities. We are looking for talented people to join us our Town Planning team to continue our focus on building relationships and delighting our clients (90% of our business is repeat business). Over the coming months, we will have upcoming specialist positions for you to consider . We are specifically looking to speak to Town Planning professionals at varying levels who have the following experience :
- Securing Development Consent Orders through the Planning Act 2008
- Securing planning consent through the Town and Country Planning Act 1990
- Supporting Planning Policy formulation.
- Supporting the delivery of infrastructure projects through the discharge of requirements and planning conditions and monitoring development for compliance.
Complex infrastructure schemes require a multi-disciplinary approach, with Town Planners playing a pivotal role in the delivery of consenting for the overall scheme s . As such, you will be a key participant in the team who will assist in the delivery of projects and project deliverables focusing on technical delivery including providing planning advice on policy development and consentability , policy compliance checks, preparation of planning consent submissions, supporting decision makers , providing expert witness input to public examinations and inquiries, guiding the delivery of projects to ensure compliance .
You will be required to regularly interface with other disciplines, such as the environmental assessment specialists , stakeholder engagement, engineers and designers. You will have strong communications and presentation skills, the ability to write for technical and non-technical audiences, and you will be enthusiastic about the role town planning plays in the development, consenting and delivery of successful infrastructure projects.
