Are you a detail-oriented cohesive team player with an optimistic attitude, and a self-starter with the ability to relate to diverse groups of people, balance conflicting resources and priorities and be willing to travel for assignments?

The candidate will lead the title group within our legal team supporting project development and financing efforts, including obtaining title curative documents and closing out title policies. Must have experience managing complex real estate title insurance matters, including review, analysis and resolution of title exceptions and requirements identified in title commitments and title policies issued by title insurance companies, and must be highly organized and proficient at drafting and maintaining tracking spreadsheets for multiple projects.

What you'll do:
  • Managing the real estate title curative work for mid- and late-stage wind and solar energy projects, including supervision of title analyst(s)
  • Supervising the work of team members and external consultants through the process of solving complex technical, commercial and legal issues
  • Driving and tracking the process of analyzing and addressing all title exception items or other title requirements identified in title commitments or pro forma title policies to ensure title insurance coverage
  • Generating Managing the real estate title curative work for mid- and late-stage wind and solar energy projects, including supervision of title analyst(s)
  • Supervising the work of team members and external consultants through the process of solving complex technical, commercial and legal issues
  • Driving and tracking the process of analyzing and addressing all title exception items or other title requirements identified in title commitments or pro forma title policies to ensure title insurance coverage
  • Generating specialized correspondence, articles, memos, agendas, or other materials demonstrating an understanding of construction contract terms and the ability to integrate credibly with legal, real estate and title professionals
  • Engaging with legal team to ensure timely drafting of various title curative related agreements or other documents for execution by landowners and third parties or working with other legal team members to do the same
  • Organizing, strategizing and implementing title curative efforts through the close of title insurance policies on our various wind projects, including preparing, coordinating, and tracking the execution of title curative documents and agreements, including subordinations, non-disturbance agreements and crossing agreements required for closing on title insurance policies


What you bring:
  • 5+ years' experience in real estate and title insurance profession with an emphasis on commercial renewable energy title insurance transactions.
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Basic understanding of GIS mapping
  • Strong communication and data processing skills
  • Self-motivated, highly organized, and detail oriented
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks or assignments simultaneously and efficiently without direct supervision
  • Team-oriented individual who is able to shift focus quickly and efficiently between varying tasks and priorities
