Position Specific Description

This position is part of Florida Power & Light's Optional Supplemental Power Services (OSPS) group which is responsible for selling, implementing, owning, maintaining, and monitoring backup power solutions for customers, including generators and power conditioning equipment (e.g. UPS). In this role, youare responsible for overseeing or performing the maintenance, monitoring, warranty, and billing of assets that have been installed and are operational. You will work closely with the OSPS Project and Construction Management teams to understand details of the solution being installed, provide insight on service-related considerations, and assist with projecting future operation and maintenance costs.

Specific job duties:
  • Serve as the first point of contact with any in-field asset's operational, maintenance, and/or monitoring issue
  • Ensure all assets are operationally ready when called upon for supplemental power
  • Confer with customers to address questions, problems, and requests for service
  • Coordinate with contractors/partners to perform routine maintenance or repairs on equipment
  • Negotiate PM contracts and ensure compliance
  • Determine eligibility for warranty coverage
  • Ensure warranty claims are properly documented and processed to receive an accurate settlement
  • Develop processes and procedures for workflow and service recovery
  • Capture all troubleshooting steps in the appropriate database for future reference
  • Creates and verifies customer, equipment, and technical information
  • Documents required information in order to have an accurate record of the work done to the asset
  • Records and maintains files and records of customer requests, work or services performed, charges, expenses, inventory, and other dispatch information.
  • Monitor all company assets through remote monitoring systems
  • Develop and implement a platform to create consistent monitoring across all assets
  • Provide event logging and historical repositories to aid in the investigation and prevention of incidents, problems, and service quality issues
  • Research emerging technologies and adapt as necessary to reduce costs
  • Ensure customer compliance with billing

Preferred Requirements:
  • Engineering or technical related degree
  • Generator operations experience
  • Advanced understanding of data/wireless communications

  • Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
  • Experience: 7+ years
