POSITION SUMMARY:

The Manufacturing Operator is responsible for safely operating machinery and packaging equipment; inspecting for film quality; trouble-shooting operability and quality issues; Meeting production goals by assisting teammates; Train others as needed. Contribute to manufacturing excellence and flawless execution.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Meet Safety, Quality, Productivity and Teamwork standards
  • Proactively involved in identifying safety hazards and recommending solutions
  • Machine set up, load and unload equipment and materials
  • Monitor speed of dies, rolls and ovens, adjust as needed
  • Communicate information to others in relation to the job.
  • Splice product rolls
  • Check Quality of product & shipping packaging
  • Ability to use and accurately read tape measure
  • Log and record readings for equipment and procedures
  • Log and record readings for equipment and procedures
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely fashion
  • Document process parameters
  • Understand ISO and customer requirements
  • Regularly perform all housekeeping tasks
  • Ability to handle physical workload
  • Basic math functions
  • Attention to details

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Good oral/written communication
  • Ability to add, subtract and multiply simple numbers
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
  • 1-2 years previous manufacturing experience (preferred)
  • Working knowledge of oriented Polypropylene and extrusion process (preferred)
