Roles and Responsibilities
  • Conceptual or theoretical activities related to the principles ofengineering,physics, andmaterials sciencefor the design, analysis,manufacturing, and maintenance ofmechanical systems.
  • Includes the design and analysis of composite pipe and related equipment.
  • Department executing complex standard analyses, tests and support work.
  • Develops operational plan for the own department.
  • Department is expected to resolve problems through the application of acquired expertise based upon precedents.
  • Department is engaged in customizing projects to client needs.
  • Conveys technical information both to clients and to colleagues out of other functions.
  • Department has a supportive role in knowledge management gathering data and storing them in a system.
  • Role will focus on product development and realization for API 15S compliant products and related equipment. The role will include product development of new products and optimization of existing products and systems.
  • Will participate in the design, testing and qualification of both metallic and nonmetallic pipe fittings.
  • Utilize knowledge of materials and design practices to design and develop composite pipe system.
  • Plan and participate in the testing of pipe design. Will participate in the design, testing and analysis of pipe end fittings and installation equipment.
  • Experience with composite pipe field installation equipment and practices is applicable.


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college
  • Experience with composite pipe design, systems and operations is essential.
  • 3D CAD design experience and computational modeling (MATLAB or ANSYS)

  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Ability to work independently. Strong problem solving skills.
  • Knowledge of and experience with API 15S test requirements is beneficial.
  • Requires detailed knowledge of composite fitting system design including understanding of required material selections to meet NACE MR0175 requirements.
  • Experience with composite pipe field installation equipment and practices is applicable.
