Would you like to join a growing company specialising in the design, installation, inspection & testing of equipment?

Due to recent new projects, their high calibre maintenance team is looking for an additional Instrument Technician to work at National Grid's Isle of Grain site in Kent.

Key accountabilities will involve both Corrective maintenance on process control instrumentation, ESD instrumentation and valves, F&G Systems & Control Valves; and Planned maintenance activities covering the calibration of instrumentation utilising Beamex hardware and CMX calibration management software, SIL testing, ESD testing, inspection of control valves and slam-shut valves & F&G testing.

In addition you will undertake small installation project works, and identify/ fault find current and potential issues.

To be considered for this challenging, varied Instrument Technician role, you will need to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of technical instrumentation, knowledge of Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems and 4-20mV components and instrumentation, ideally gained from within the utility or oil & gas industry.

A relevant Engineering/Technician qualification will be required, as will the ability to use diagnostic equipment safely and effectively. Electrical skills knowledge will be useful, along with a sound understanding of Health & Safety, Environmental and Engineering regulations.
