Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead Drilling Services Material Review Board (MRB) program that manages deviations of equipment that are waivered from standard engineering specifications. Set financial goals for the MRB program and execute engineering changes due to program findings. Manage AMO (Assembly, Maintenance, Overhaul) Technical Support Portal program that captures and resolves engineering queries from AMO field locations. Lead AMO non-standard repair documentation project to identify mechanical overhaul practices from AMO locations and to evaluate and publish these procedures into standard engineering database. Execute projects with external engineering companies for documentation updates and publish repair drawings. Provide subject matter expert support and mentor engineers from external engineering firms to execute AMO engineering projects. Lead and contribute to enterprise-wide strategic initiatives, including savings initiatives and material cost reduction. Lead specific AMO wide engineering and process improvement projects.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Metallurgy, Materials Science, or related field and 10 years (120 months) of progressively responsible post-Bachelor's degree related experience. Alternatively, Employer will also accept a Master's Degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Metallurgy, Materials Science, or related field and 5 years (60 months) of related experience. The position also requires five years of experience: Oil field equipment manufacturer or service provider; Drilling equipment products; Measurement While Drilling (MWD) Systems; Logging While Drilling (LWD) Systems; Assembly, Maintenance, and Overhaul (AMO) processes and tools; Down-hole drilling equipment; SolidWorks; AutoCAD; Finite Element Analysis (ANSYS Workbench); and SAP. 4 years of experience with: Oil and Gas upstream production corrosion metallurgy; Root Cause Analysis using a FRACAS system; Lean Six Sigma; DMAIC process; and Developing Preventive Maintenance Strategies on downhole tools in terms of reliability improvement and cost reduction.
