In the Halliburton Digital Solutions team, the DevOps Technical Advisor makes it easy to quickly provide value to our users. You will define environments, enable multiple teams through continuous integration / continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, release secure applications and champion best practices. You will lead others as well as be hands on implementing and doing proof of concepts. You need a good understanding of all elements of a successful release management program, including code change control, code inspection, metrics and defect management. By working closely with multiple teams across the organization, you will be defining shared capabilities around DevOps and release management. You will also be constantly trying new technologies and seeing how new technology can support business need.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Define and document current and future state environments
  • Design and implement, build, deployment, and configuration management
  • Create automated deployments for products
  • Manage CI/CD tools
  • Create proof of concepts of how potential capabilities or integrations could work
  • Create automated testing pipelines
  • Provide technical guidance and education about best practices to teams across the organization
  • Collaborate with others in the product teams to solve complex infrastructure, security, or development challenges
  • Monitor environments and brainstorm ways to improve


Required Qualifications:


  • Undergraduate degree in computer science, engineering or math
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience, preferred with DevOps or release/configuration management experience
  • Experience deploying in cloud, desktop applications, and in remote locations
  • Experience with docker and containerization
  • Experience with Linux and Windows infrastructures, scripting in JavaScript, Python, Perl, .NET
  • Experience with Kubernetes
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies


Highly Preferred Qualification:


  • Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert
