Role Summary:
  • Lead the project management team of the Subsea Services team in Brazil
  • Ownership of project management for repair projects, including repair of subsea equipment and tools
  • Guarantee adherence to contractual clauses
  • Customer interface assuring delivering upon targets/deadlines

Planning, execution and conclusion of projects / contract activities

Essential Responsibilities:
  • The Project Management Leader demonstrates accountability for functional, business and broad company objectives. In this role you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional areas of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy.
  • Plan and coordinate activities typically in the context of a larger project to fulfil a customer order according to financial or commercial parameters and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Responsible for the execution of the project in terms of the main contractual obligations including timely delivery, quality, and compliance with contract scope as well as expected profitability of the project itself
  • Responsible for the Contribution Margin of jobs and will play a proactive role in problems identification and resolution during the project by highlighting potential areas of concern and promptly driving other departments in solving issues which affect project execution
  • Translate customer requirements into detailed project plans, driving internal execution to meet the targets
  • Manage a cross-functional team including management of a team of Project Managers
  • Develop enduring and faithful customer relationships while improving project profitability
  • Develop Enhanced Project Management programs and processes that reduce Total Cycle Time and Span
  • Implement common process across the business, which result in improved quality and efficiency in project delivery

Analyse risks, establish contingency plans and identify trigger events and responsibility for initiating mitigation action

Work Experience

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
  • At least 5 years of experience in project management
  • At least 3 years of experience in a management role
  • Prior experience in the O&G/Subsea industry
  • Fluent in Portuguese and English
  • Clear thinker, analytical skills, good communication, ease of using systems (Deal Machine, Excel, etc.)

Desired Characteristics:
  • Strong sense of urgency in dealing with issues, tasks and driving them to closure
  • Strong business acumen and demonstrable track record in project management
  • Ability to mobilise, influence and lead cross functional teams to implement an execution strategy
  • Knowledge of Subsea Production Systems and Services industry environment and market players
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to create and maintain project deliverables such as project charter, project plan, status reports, project timesheets, estimates, communication plan, reports, risk management plan, budget (work hours & cost), milestone / deliverable charts
  • Prior experience in managing issues, scope, and quality while bring complex projects to successful completion within the cost and time requirements is preferred
  • Ability to lead a cross-functional team within a formalized methodology
  • Knowledge of Contract Service Agreement and Field Services
  • Strong business and financial acumen (cost control, billing, collections, past due, productivity, COF, etc)
  • Strong team leadership and team building skills
  • Ability to drive and manage change across
  • Strong organizational, analytic, and problem-solving skills
  • Six Sigma training is preferred
