Instrument Engineer - Stavanger, Norway

Contract position
Start: September 2020
End: December 2021
Rate: Negotiable

Bucking the trend of the current market trend, a client of Leap29 will looking to bring an Instrument Engineer into their Stavanger office in September. This is due a project that has been awarded and has been scheduled to begin at that time. The client, a major offshore topside contractor have the long term modification / overhaul contract and so are looking to bring this candidate into the team for a long-term project basis.

The correct contractor will have over 5 years' experience, be looking for a move in September, with a view to a long-term contract. They will be a strong instrumentation engineer with an impressive CV of offshore projects.

Unfortunately, due to the international travel restrictions, the client is not able to accept applicants without a valid Norwegian work permit, or an EU Passport.

Requirements:
-Norwegian Continental Shelf project experience
-Greenfield and Brownfield project experience
-Instrument detail phase engineering experience
-Experience with cause & effect and SCD design of loop, layout and termination drawings

Tasks / Responsibilities:
-Make necessary documentation / drawings for job cards
-Prepare specifications for instrument field equipment and SAS modifications
-Create technical specifications and requisitions for field instruments
-Involvement in FAT/SAT's
-Update and complete engineering documents and data registers

Qualifications:
-BSc, MSc or equivalent
-Relevant legislation and standard knowledge (Norsok, PTIL, ATEX, or IEC)

Languages:
-Norwegian and English both written and spoken

Personal Qualities:
-Driven and proactive self-starter able to operate individually when required
-Diligent with deadlines and time frames
-Strong cooperation and teamwork skills
-Seeking a long-term contract
