Project Information
Basic Design and FEED document review, supervision and support during the
EPC/EPIC tendering stage for on- and off-shore facilities of a gas field development.
Job Objectives
  • Supervision of Basic Design and FEED engineering activities
  • Support of EPC / EPIC tendering

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Senior/Lead
    • Leads & coordinates discipline as a project management team member.
    • Manages the interface between Client's project team and electrical engineering design team.
    • Manages all discipline related engineering activities, review and approval (internal and where applicable Client approval) of deliverables, inter- disciplinary checks and assures compliance with contractual requirements,

e.g. complete delivery of LOD, maximum duration of review cycles, engineering quality, project schedule, etc.
  • Supports overall project management, task management, change/contract management, progress reporting and development of project presentations
  • Ensure the changes within the process discipline are managed and communicated to the other discipline in cases they are affected.
  • Responses to Technical Queries (TQ's) and written clarification requests by 3rd parties and attend clarification meetings

  • Technical Document Review
    • Review, provision of comments, elaborations and recommendations and approval of Basic Design and FEED documents in a timely manner to ensure the design meets the needs of the field development and complies with contractual requirements.
    • Ensures all electrical engineering and design deliverables are prepared and issued in adherence with project schedule and quality.
    • Ensures that correct input data, codes and standards are used and adhered to.
    • Leads and participates in conceptual discussions at project inception as a member of the project management.
    • Reviews project basis of design, technical queries.
    • Responds to technical queries.
    • Ensures fulfilment of the scope of work.
    • Reviews electrical design basis, electrical works specifications, EPC scope of work.
    • Review, provision of comments, elaborations and recommendations and approval of power system study.
    • Reviews electrical, earthing, protection & control philosophy and design standards.
    • Reviews of electrical equipment sizing calculation, equipment specification & data sheets.
    • Review of PMS/SCMS architecture diagrams.
    • Review of electrical I/O list, Interface list, interconnection wiring diagrams, etc.
    • Participates in 3D models reviews.
    • Coordinate the preparation, quality control, approval, and (where applicable) Client approval of electrical engineering documents and drawings.
    • Change Management, Variation inputs, Identifies and lodge scope/design change for approval.
    • Manages the interface between Client's project team and electrical engineering design team.
    • Ensures the complete and thorough review of all other discipline documents during the interdisciplinary check review, and ensure the changes within the structural discipline are managed and communicated to the other discipline in cases they are affected.
