Role Summary:

The Nexus Controls Division of Baker Hughes is a $300M business which has been serving customers worldwide for more than a century. Nexus Controls leverages multiple Turbine and Compressor Controls platforms and a proven Distributed Controls System (DCS) platform, along with a complete OT Cybersecurity, Excitation, Mechanical, Instrumentation & Controls, and Global Service portfolio to meet customer needs.

This role will lead the Planning & Analysis activities for the product company. The Lead FP&A Operations Analyst will act as the operating partner for the NC General Manager and CFO.

Essential Responsibilities:



  • Leverage knowledge, expertise, and modeling to actively lead business planning sessions and support the development of short & long-range financial forecasts including quarterly blueprint reviews, mid-range plan, annual plan, and growth strategy plan.
  • Ensure planning cycle and reporting requirement deadlines are met by facilitating and coordinating efforts across multiple functions and sub-product lines.
  • Re-imagine backlog & volume validation modeling to drive consistent definitions and system-driven reporting across supply chain and finance. Provide better visibility of regional backlog to enable regions to better understand and drive revenue visa-vi convertible orders and project support.
  • Quarterback the closing process including understanding and communication of overall financial results (product company, regional, vertical, commercial segmentation)
  • Support technology leader with better visibility of technology functional costs including budgeting and variance analysis, as well as NPI say/do analysis.
  • Drive operating rhythms (pacing, quarterly operations days and product line touchpoints)
  • Work effectively with business leaders to proactively drive key business initiatives such as new product investments/ROI, region profitability, etc. Effectively analyze and report the financial impact on the business.







  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or equivalent
  • 3 years of experience in a financial position
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
  • Strong analytical ability
  • Ability to dive deep in details and synthesize into key insights and actions
  • Knowledge of SAP, BI, Theia, & HFM systems
  • Ability to work within matrix organization
  • Ability to lead and influence cross functional team
  • Knowledge of Nexus Controls business
