Job Summary

Reporting to the Laboratory Manager, the Production Supervisor is responsible for duties related to prioritizing jobs in the system and expediting rush jobs/files through production in a timely manner to meet turnaround requirements and to organize sample flow in the weighing department.

Duties & Responsibilities

Comply with occupational health and safety legislation, BV Group Policies and Procedures, Upstream Minerals Management System Policies and Procedures and ISO standards applicable to the Production Coordinator position
Act in a safe and professional manner and wear appropriate attire including the required personal protective equipment (PPE)
Track and respond to request for the status of jobs/racks/files/pages currently in progress
Review jobs/racks in progress and ensure the racks are progressing through production in a timely manner to meet turnaround requirements
Assist in production as needed, including validation of results
Other duties as assigned or required

Experience, Qualifications & Skills

Education must be a minimum of high school diploma (although university or technical diploma would be an asset)
Must be willing to work some weekends.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (able to deal with internal issues efficiently in a fast-paced dynamic environment)
Strong organizing and time management skills
Strong problem solving skills
Able to work independently and as a part of a team

**Mining Industry experience is preferred**
