Roles and Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain the overall HPC system architecture
  • Develop a series of explicit graphical models that, at a minimum, are human consumable, define and describe the Goals the Enterprise is trying to achieve, the Processes needed to be performed to meet these Goals, the Things (Data) needed to perform these Processes, and the Organizational alignment and responsibilities in place to perform the required activities
  • Responsible for cataloging, developing, coordinating, communicating, maintaining, and enforcing overall enterprise architecture models, representations, initiatives, capabilities, and components to adequately perform the organization's business and technology activities
  • Create business architecture models that reflect our strategies and goals
  • Partner with various functional teams across the business and DT departments to support strategic enterprise vision and design for HPC consumption
  • Partner with engineering delivery teams to research, design and implement the appropriate technology needed to support the application portfolio
  • Partnership with the application architecture, network, and security engineering team is critical to ensure that the infrastructure architectural principals support the requirements and needs to automate
  • Ensure compliance of architectural and engineering policies, standards and procedures
  • Able to educate peer staff employees on best practices
  • Provide expertise in HPC emerging technologies to the enterprise, while advising on the selection and use of technologies
  • Plan and lead proof of concepts (POCs) in support of new technology and/or new design approaches
  • Provide high-level design choices and recommendations based on architecture alternative analysis
  • Partner with the CTO (Technology Infrastructure) group to plan and execute all HPC infrastructure components (SW, HW, Connectivity, Storage++)


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree; MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture, application development, and networking
  • 5+ years in Managing and Architect High Performance Compute environments
  • 5+ years design/implementation/consulting experience of distributed applications
  • Experience in the oil and gas industry is highly desirable

  • Ability to lead discussions in a matrix environment focusing on team and organizational success
  • Hands-on experience architecting and implementing integrations strategies across different applications and/or Lines of Business
  • Strong knowledge of project and program management methodology and techniques
  • Ability to develop and deliver effective presentations and facilitate workshops
