She / he will be responsible for all engineering work related to drilling, workover and P&A operations dealing with the exploration and exploitation of geothermal resources for heating, cooling and electricity generation.

Within the engineering and project management team, the Drilling Engineer's main tasks are listed below:

  • perform technical and commercial studies for new wells, workover operations, final abandonment and well diagnostic;
  • write detailed drilling programs ;
  • issue tender for contractors and service companies, analyze offers and take part of negotiation, select service providers, establish contractual terms and lot allocation for services and equipment ;
  • act as superintendent or on site supervisor when needed, coordinate operations ;
  • cost control and commercial follow up of the operations ;
  • act as primary focal point for the customer, from the planning phase to the execution, communicate with client regularly ;
  • compile End of Well Report ;
  • look for optimization in terms of well design and operations, contribute to R&D project, monitor  new technologies and service providers applicable to the geothermal industry.

In close collaboration with the Sales and Technical teams, the Drilling Engineer will also promote CFG's knowhow in the field of drilling for geothermal projects abroad. He/ she will :

  • attend conference, congress and other events to promote CFG's activity, especially in the field of drilling ;
  • participate to the tender's response and elaborate commercial and technical offer for engineering services.
