Liaison and field supervisor between Operations and field staff. Preforms all aspects of the inspection and sampling duties. Trains and works on hand with inspectors. Receive, record, and distribute work orders to service crews upon customers' request for service by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Ensure field staff is properly prepared for their job duties.
Ensure Quality process is adhered to, with focus on vessel Quality & Quantity operations and Safety.
Receive orders from clients via telephone, telex, or facsimile.
Create file for job movements and generates detailed job movement.
Communicate all information between laboratory, client and Inspector.
Report irregularities to management, client and Inspectorate and generate reports, of non-conformance.
Confirm figures with terminal personnel and telex clients with confirmed figures as well as verbal confirmation with client.
Train field personnel on a day-to-day basis.
Coordinate paper flow throughout office making sure that clients receive proper paperwork in a timely manner.
Maintain an "on-call" status 24 hours a day to better oversee operations.
Other Duties: Assume Inspector job duties on an as needed basis (see Inspector job description).
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Directly supervise a number of employees in the petroleum division. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform as Lead Inspector and have knowledge of each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and minimum three years' experience as a Lead Vessel Inspector.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSE, REGISTRATIONS: TIC council certification, valid d river's license and any external customer HSE requirements are required.
