Job Description

  • Lead Artificial Lift related projects including the design, installation, function testing, pre-commissioning and commissioning.
  • Working with multi-discipline team to ensure timely equipment delivery, optimum installation and design, and efficient operations towards reduced failures.
  • Improving artificial lift performance through operations and failure analysis continuous improvement
  • Design well completion and propose alternatives if required
  • Design and execute quality assurance/quality control and perform post-job analysis including nodal analysis
  • Aim to reduce overall field operating costs by designing equipment at best efficiencies and proper frequency to minimize electrical power requirements
  • Leading engineering team in specific tasks and studies related to Artificial Lift.
  • Participate in company engineering standard review
  • Implement industry best practices and exchange of learnings with other similar unconventional gas assets
  • Evaluate new technologies, tools or techniques and decide on suitability then present, or assists in the presentation of proposals to Management, technical and operating groups.
  • Participates in project technical reviews and reviews proposals to ensure efficient/economic operations
  • Represents Saudi Aramco in dealing with manufactures, vendors and outside consultants in his area of expertise
  • Prepares manuals, and trains/develops engineers and operating personnel in his area of expertise.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in engineering specialties (petroleum Engineering would be preferred). MSc is desirable, but not required
  • Minimum of 15 years oil and gas industry experience including a minimum of 10 years experience in Artifcial lift application including all smart downhole well completion.
  • Review, optimize, and approve Artificial Lift designs.
  • Evaluate new artificial lift related technologies while ensuring compliance to company well control guidelines.
  • Attend on-site Artificial Lift applications installations and function tests to ensure vendors follow the companys established procedures and industry best practices. in addition, Attend DIFA and implement corrective actions.
  • Participate in tender commercial and technical evaluations
  • Ability to produce of detailed technical procedures, documents and work instruction and reports
  • Good understanding of Completions Management System methods and workflow, combined with an ability to fit design to deliverable
