As a Design Engineer with KWI you will be responsible for the design engineering of assigned Production, Measurement, and Automation Equipment utilizing Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, Compress, and ProMax. These designs encompass large scale oil and gas processing equipment including Dehydration Systems, J-T plants, Stabilizers, Line Heaters, LACT Units, Piping, and other related equipment. Designs are performed in accordance with accepted industry standards, KWI best practices and customer specifications.


  • Provide design engineering support for sales orders including design of special products in accordance with KWI defined processes while collaborating with senior engineers and manufacturing to ensure manufacturability of product designs.
  • Execute the development and creation of all project drawings including P&IDs, Instrumentation diagrams, vessels, structural, and piping systems.
  • Provide timely creation, resolution, and review of shop issues, change orders, and corrective actions.
  • Provide application and troubleshooting assistance as requested for the evaluation and support of customer field issues. Occasionally travelling to job sites to support the client.
  • Assist in technical support for sales quotations and customer inquiries.
  • Support the development and standardization of the KWI product portfolio
  • Perform Code Vessel Calculations using Compress.
  • Participate in process improvement activities.
  • Communicate with a diverse audience with varying technical skill sets using both written and verbal communication.


  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar-from an accredited college/university
  • Experience in Engineering/Design tools such as Autodesk Inventor, Solidworks, etc..
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Highly motivated, self-starter who can efficiently operate in a team environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills. Effective use of logic, data, problem-solving tools, and analysis to understand and develop solutions.
  • Exceptionally detail oriented, organized with proven ability to multitask.
  • Entry level 0-2yrs experience.
