Role Summary:

In the role of FAT Technician (Factory Acceptance Testing), 1st shift in the Minden Cabinet Shop, you will test finished cabinet assemblies and perform functional tests on installed equipment for customers.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Test finished electrical cabinet assemblies (i.e. read and understand wiring diagrams, end to end wiring tests, mechanical layout checks, hi-pot insulation tests)
  • Perform Functional tests on installed equipment
  • Set up customer computers and associated networks
  • Update technical and quality documentation
  • Act as technology resource for the production floor
  • Learn and use Six Sigma methodologies to enhance quality and efficiency
  • Test monitoring systems (i.e. Bently Nevada 3500) which includes downloading configuration files, applying test signals
  • Execute factory acceptance test plans and recording test results
  • Frequently interface with customers during Factory Acceptance Tests
  • Assist Project Engineers with changes to 3500 and S1 configurations
  • Perform other duties as necessary to support Cabinet Shop team
  • Takes initiative to learn new skills


Qualifications/Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in Electronics from an accredited college or university. Or High School diploma with 3 years relevant electronics test experience
  • Minimum 6 months of experience in electronics trouble shooting
  • Work overtime, weekends and holidays, as required
  • Work in a constant pushing, pulling, lifting, stretching, bending environment and other physical activities
  • Be in a shop environment a minimum of 8 hours per day, primarily standing and sitting, as required
  • Lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Good knowledge of wiring diagrams, blue prints, or assembly prints

  • Strong computer skills using Windows Operating Systems (XP, Server)
