Job Title

Senior AEGIS Radar Engineer

Location

Washington D.C.

 

Job Summary:

This role will work as our subject matter expert and senior engineer.

 

Duties:

  • Provide expert knowledge on the AN/SPY-7 AEGIS radar system with emphasis on integration of the radar system with both the SM-2 and SM-6 SAMs with CMS 330
  • Evaluate Engineering changes to make sure risks, impacts and issues are documented
  • Remain in contact with internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide recommendations and feedback to the company
  • Support the integration of AEGIS with the CMS 330

 

 

Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Active Secret Security Clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marine, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Physics
  • Have at least 8 years of experience with and have full knowledge of AEGIS systems
  • Have a full understanding of understanding of surface combatant weapons systems and threats across AAW employing SAMs and specifically, SM-2, SM-6
  • Have full knowledge of the "detect-to-engage-sequence" (DTES) from "detect to weapons impact" for AEGIS, in particular, for AAW

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • M.S. Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Marine Engineering or Physics
  • Senior-Level Candidate: 12 (+) Years of progressive experience with AEGIS system architecture development and integration at the "code level" ideally through AEGIS Baseline 10
  • Operational knowledge of the AN/SPY-7 radar systems and CMS-330
