Cybersecurity Engineer

Job Summary:

This role will develop and apply cybersecurity for the U.S. Navy and other commercial customers by providing expertise.

 

Duties:

  • Support cybersecurity initiatives with research and development and program development
  • Develop customer solutions, system artifacts and security controls.

 

 

Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizen
  • Have at least a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology
  • At least 10 years of experience in Cybersecurity Engineering
  • DoD 8140/8570 Approved Certification, CISSP or CISM are preferred and PMP is a plus.
  • Have Knowledge of :
    • Knowledge of:
      • DoD security requirements, including DISA STIGs, SRGs, and IA tools.
      • NIST publications, such as, SP 800-37, 800-53, and 800-171.
      • NIST 800-53 to support cyber frameworks, such as CSF and RMF.
      • Identifying and troubleshooting complex cyber issues within a system or functional enclaves.
      • Maritime cybersecurity supply chain risk management.
      • Programming and scripting languages.
    • Experience in:
      • Developing Vulnerability Management, Security Assessment and Incident Response Plans.
      • Use of hardware, software, services, and processes necessary to develop cyber solutions.
      • Leading the design, development, integration, testing, and deployment of systems.
      • Developing and submitting A&A packages using Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service eMASS or a similar tool.
      • Working with the U.S. Department of Navy, SPAWAR, NAVSEA, NSWC, NUWC, or USCG
      • SCADA, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), and digital/analog sensors.
      • Identifying emerging security technologies to develop approaches to industry challenges.
      • Lead meetings, developing estimates, responding to cybersecurity RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, etc.
    • Familiarity with:
      • Navy's CYBERSAFE initiative and IATA Defense-in-Depth Functional Implementation Architecture (DFIA).
      • Shipping organizations e.g. International Maritime Organization (IMO) and Lloyd's Register.
  • Required Personal Attributes:
    • Strong organizational skills, attention to details and the ability to work in a fast-paced matrixed environment.
    • Proven ability working independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills and experience delivering presentations to customers, stakeholders and senior leadership.
