Job Description: Shop Mechanic

Reports to: Fleet Coordinator

MUST BE U.S. Citizen or Authorized to work in U.S. without sponsorship.

Job Summary, Essential Duties and Responsibilities: ______________________

• Mechanics perform diagnostic tests for routine maintenance procedures and determine a course of action for damaged parts and systems.

• Repair malfunctioning components, retrofit engines, change brakes, adjust steering systems, replace worn-out parts and change hydraulic fluids.

• Truck mechanics routinely use computerized equipment along with lathes, welding torches, pneumatic wrenches, hydraulic jacks, screwdrivers, pliers, mallets and precision gauges. They also test drive trucks before and after repairs.

• Cleans parts, such as pistons, valves, and parts of transmissions and clutches.

• Inspects parts on Company vehicles for defects.

• May maintain, repair, and install machinery and equipment at drill sites and be designated Field Mechanic.

• Active Communication, Documentation, follows processes and closes out orders.

• Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurate information.

• Inspect vehicle computer and electronic systems to repair, maintain and upgrade

• Conduct routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts etc.) aiming to vehicle functionality and longevity.

• Schedule future maintenance sessions and advise motorists on good vehicle use

• Repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts and fix issues (e.g. leaks)

• Provide accurate estimates (cost, time, effort) for a repair or maintenance job

• Keep logs on work and issues

• Maintain equipment and tools in good condition

Physical Demands and/or Work Environment: ___________________________________________________

• Exposure to sun, extreme temperatures, loud noise, wind, dust

• Ability to lift up to 50lbs or more with assistance

• Bending, stooping, standing for long periods of time

• Other duties assigned as needed

Requirements

4 Yrs Experience

Valid Drivers License
