6. Experience on main Pre-Commissioing, Commissioing, Start-up & Operation activities such as:

  • Conformity checks with project drawing and specifications
  • Electrical systems protection relays settings, interlock tests and functional tests
  • Electrical substations energization
  • HVAC commissioning, balance tests and performance tests
  • Instruments I/O checks and calibration
  • DCS/ESD/F&G and communication systems functional tests
  • Equipment inspection before box-up
  • Electrical motors run-in
  • Piping and equipment flushing and blowing
  • Mechanical and chemical cleaning
  • Rotating equipment lube oil flushing
  • System degreasing
  • Lines steam blowing
  • Systems high pressure leak test
  • Systems inerting and drying
  • Rotating equipment run-in with inert and process fluid
  • Boilers boil-out
  • Refractory dry-out
  • Chemicals first fill
  • Catalyst and molecular sieves loading
  • Hydrocarbons feed-in into the plant
  • Performance test run activities

Main Tasks

1. Supports the HSE Manager for the preparation of the HSE plan and procedures

2. Ensures that all HSE procedures required for each activities and work phases are available and are applied

3. Actively contributes to Safety Walkdowns. In case of incidents contributes to investigations

4. Participates to Pre Start-up Safety Reviews (PSSR)

5. Prepares the Pre-commissioning, Commissioning and Start-up Plan

6. Reviews contractual documentation and contributes to identify project risks and opportunities

7. Reviews the test run procedure and the operating manuals

8. Defines the procedure for mechanical, electrical & process isolation control

9. Defines Commissioning sequences and priorities in order to guide the project towards completion

10. Supports the project for the schedule preparation and follow-up

11. Prepares the Licensor/Vendors schedule and assignment concerning the Commissioning Start-up and Test run activities

12. Supports the project for the preparation of the subcontracting plan, prepares the technical specifications for subcontarting the activities in its own are of responsibility

13. Issues Pre-commissioning, Commissioning and Start-up progress reports

14. Manage the Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning, Start-up & Operation activities, coordinating the different parties

15. Ensures the respect of the schedule and the budget, either during the home office activity, as well as at site

16. Actively participates to risk and opportunity meetings

17. Responsible for the competency assurance and development of his team

18. Participates to plant handover process which includes the preparation of the Commissioning Dossiers

19. Ensures the transferring of the lesson learned to the home office
