We are currently seeking experienced Control Room Operators & Deck Operators for work in Deepwater Gulf of Mexico You will serve as a key role with your knowledge and experience troubleshooting production-related problems/issues, the mechanical processes of operating equipment, standard operating procedures, as well as identifying tasks. You are required to possess a strong working knowledge of control room systems and practices along with familiarity with pertinent Federal regulations.

Job Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • Monitor, operate and maintain well(s) and equipment in a safe and environmentally positive manner Monitor, operate and maintain equipment in a safe and environmentally friendly manner
  • Perform well tests, flowbacks, take shakeouts and change orifice plates
  • Assist with testing & inspection of safety systems & equipment as required by law and customer policy
  • Make rounds to ensure that all process equipment is in good operating condition;
  • Monitor meters, pressure gauges, rates, variations, and temperatures to ensure proper operation while maximizing production;
  • Record instrument readings and operational changes in operating logs;
  • Collect, record, and maintain data to fulfill State, Federal and company requirements;
  • Assist in completing all required paperwork;
  • Take samples of gases and liquids;
  • Conduct chemical tests to determine the correct chemical treatment set chemical rates, make repairs to pumps, and send samples to laboratories for analysis when needed;
  • Respond to problems by adjusting control room equipment, and/or follow the instructions from the supervisor while using good judgment and good communication;
  • Assist routine well servicing operations and minor maintenance/construction projects;
  • Clean, lubricate, maintain, and adjust equipment;
  • Maintain parts and tool inventory
  • Understand Process Flow Diagrams, Safe Charts, EPA, NPDES, and BOEM/BSEE requirements in addition to CFR/API requirements
  • Familiar with pertinent Federal regulations
  • 3+ years of experience in the Oil & Gas production industry
