We are currently seeking experienced Offshore Mechanics for Deepwater and GOM shelf. You will serve as a key role with your knowledge and experience in installation, commissioning, start-up maintenance and support of natural gas, diesel, pneumatic, and electrical drive/driven equipment as well as experience with safety devices and systems. You will be required to use your problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and provide effective solutions.

Job Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • Monitor and adjust equipment
  • Repair and maintenance of natural gas compressors
  • Perform maintenance on engines, air compressors, vapor recovery units, and cooling fans
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, replace, and maintain controls, and equipment including governors, engines, pumps, control devices, relays, starters, ignition wiring, digital and analog gauges, valves, and hydraulic systems
  • Ability to utilize a Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Perform and document maintenance, calibration, installation, fault diagnosis, and repair of mechanical systems as well as maintaining files, logs, and drawings for designated equipment
  • Thorough understanding of API and CFR requirements
  • Ensure that the work permit and energy isolation procedures are always strictly adhered to (LOTO, etc)
  • Communicate equipment malfunctions, breakdowns, unsafe activities and potentially hazardous situations with your supervisor
  • Ensure all mechanical and control systems are installed and maintained in a manner consistent with sound engineering practices, all applicable codes, standards, and regulations
  • Must have at least 3+ years of experience as a mechanic, preferable in an Oil & Gas production environment
