Senior Process Engineer
Location: Rotterdam, Netherlands
Duration: 12 months renewable
As Senior Process Engineer are responsible for designing, implementing, controlling and optimizing industrial processes, especially continuous ones within the chemical, petrochemical industry. You can approve process design and engineering documents and make sure that all documents are correct through a review/check procedure established at the start of the project.
·Preparation and checking of Process Engineering deliverables in accordance with scope of work, and relevant codes and standards, and company quality management procedures,
·Working proactively with other team members to resolve technical issues,
·Learning to lead the discipline for small projects, such as work scope evaluation and manhour estimating,
·Scheduling and planning, then managing self and possibly others to meet deadlines,
·Managing project change and managing relationships with the client.
Perform and/or check others' Process Engineering calculations and simulations,
·Check process drawings and ensure consistency and compliance,
·Provide input to studies and/or act as checker and provide ideas for improving the process design,
·Contribute process input at technical meetings with client personnel,
·Provide process input at safety reviews, HAZOP, LOPA, HAZID, SIL reviews,
·Raise Technical Queries to confirm preferential solutions or changes to the basis of design,
·Manage relationships with client process engineers,
·Provide Process input on Inter-discipline Checks of deliverables from other disciplines,
·Contribute to reviews of the 3D piping model and equipment layout reviews,
·Provide Process input during Tender Bid Evaluation,
·Provide Process review of vendor data,
·Checking Hysys models produced by others,
·Familiar with Aspen Flare Analyzer (Flarenet) and Pipenet to perform modelling and interpret the outputs,
·Able to plan, set goals; and manage time, priorities, resources, schedules and cost
·Pro-active, goal oriented with attention to detail.
·BSc/ MSc Degree in Chemical Engineering,
·Oil and Gas Industry experience,
·Onshore, Petrochemical, Refinery experience,
·10-15 years Process Engineering experience,
·You have the necessary knowledge of regulations, guidelines and standards in your field, and interpret these in the correct way
·You have experience in using simulation programs such as HYSYS, Flaresim and Fluidflow
·You can manage stakeholders at site.
·Willing to work on site.
