HIGH LEVEL JOB DESCRIPTION/SCOPE:

Information Technology Company Upstream ITSoftware Engineering Services is undergoing significant transformation to enable cloud migration and agile delivery of new capabilities through the utilization of DevOps processes and tools. Another area of growth is the field enablement of Base Business through the introduction of mobile solutions. The team is looking for an experienced and effective Software Engineer to support the reliability of and deliver key roadmap initiatives for some of the existing and upcoming applications. With an increasing need for data integration, workflow automation and analytics capabilities, the successful candidate will have an opportunity to tremendously expand their business acumen and directly contribute to delivering the Upstream and IT function priorities.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
•Provide technical support and consulting for core Base Business solutions for a range of business units. Participate in all phases of SDLC.
•Develop software solution leveraging established Chevron technology standards and collaborate with internal partners to develop new technology standards as needs arise.
•Design and develop data engineering, data integration and data management practices and tools
•Maintain working knowledge of the latest software engineering tools and technologies (Javascript, HTML5, KONY, Angular, .NET, Jenkins/Ansible etc) and practices for continuous integration, unit tests, static and dynamic profiling, code coverage, code analysis, and automated tests.
•Collaborate with other product teams to develop and share reusable software components and services, implement consistent automated builds and integrated builds, including managing build servers, build schedules, and build qualities
•Maintain working knowledge of Microsoft Azure and implementation of DevOps automation tools
•Knowledgeable in data structure, relationship and data quality requirements needed to enable the supported business processes and workflows

Required Qualifications:
B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field
Experience of IT operational experience in software development and solution architecture in a complex business environment
Familiar with software development methodologies (e.g. DevOps, Prototyping, AGILE/Scrum,SAFe etc.)
Ability to work with multiple teams and influence/drive to deliver results
Strong written and interpersonal communications skills
Ability to complete high quality work on schedule
Experience in .NET, Csharp, Javascript development tools; mobility experience, MS Azure Cloud,

Preferred Qualifications:
Upstream Oil & Gas industry experience

Operations / Service Delivery experience
