Kintec Recruitment is currently seeking a French speaking Process Automation Engineer for a permanent positon with our client, an international refining company, in Switzerland.

Main Responsibilities:

" Provide automation engineering support for process engineering projects and plant changes
" Perform DCS, IPS and HMI configuration according specifications and standards
" Contribute to the development and design of the system's architecture and hardware specifications
" Promote the use of and participate in the development of configuration standards
" Actively collaborate with the process design and project teams to support the execution of project studies
" Document and perform FAT/FIT and commissioning process control and safeguarding loops to ensure their correct operation
" Participate in risk assessments, including SIL, LOPA WHAT IF, HAZOP and Alarms Review
" Assist the process engineering department with the development of P&ID's and process control requirements, as well as Functional Requirement Specifications
" Develop and maintain detailed control and safety narratives based on process control philosophy documents and SIF requirements
" Manage external contractors and give clear guidance to the team in terms of technical solutions and business processes
" Support operations in resolving process control and instrumental safeguarding issues.
" Assist DCS/IPS Engineers in their maintenance activities


" Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or an equivalent degree from an accredited university or college
" Minimum of 5 years of diversified engineering experience with in-depth knowledge of industry requirements and applications within the Process Automation field in the petrochemical industry is preferred
" Minimum of 3 years of experience with industrial process control systems including DCS, PLC and SCADA design and programming
" Knowledge of relevant design, engineering and process safety rules and practices (IEC 61511)
" Knowledge of ASM guidelines and Alarm Management standards and best practices
" Experience with Honeywell TPS (HPM/FSC) and Experion, (C300/SM) systems is preferred
" Fluency in both English and French is mandatory
