Job Summary:

To assist in the planning and control of offshore projects, operational planning and Asset shutdown as required. To provide regular updates as required and advise of any issues impacting planned delivery as early as possible.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensure that all activities, for which he/she is responsible, are carried out in conformance with laws and regulations, contractual requirements and the Client Management System Manual. In particular health and safety of personnel, natural and working environment and equipment shall be taken care of.

Providing planning services to ensure that the agreed schedule for all elements are planned and monitored to enable deviations from the plan to be identified as early as possible and mitigating action to be taken.

Providing management summaries when required.

Constantly identifying and monitoring critical path activities.

Carrying out scenario planning to predict the outcome of 'what if' situations.

Alerting management as early as possible to problems arising.

Integrating third party plans into the master plan.

Carrying out project planning risk sessions.

Demonstrating compliance with corporate planning procedures and requirements.

Analysis of maintenance backlogs and remedial work planning.

Collating information for and planning production shut down work.

Maintaining a comprehensive record of all deviations from plan with causes and mitigating actions.

Carrying out any other duties as reasonably requested by the Operations Manager.



Person Specifications:


Must be an expert user in the manipulation of Microsoft Project, Primavera P6

Must have previous experience in the Oil & Gas industry as a planning engineer.

Must be familiar with Microsoft Office packages

Must be able to plan own workload.



Qualifications: a relevant technical discipline, OR as a minimum a Higher National Certificate in a relevant technical discipline combined with previous experience in a similar role.

Auditable MS Project and Primavera training and competency.
