Survey Applications Engineer - Aberdeen - Permanent Position

Eden Scott's client, a leading provider of electronic components to the Subsea Sector globally now requires a Survey Applications Engineer to join their Aberdeen office with frequent trips offshore to work alongside clients. This is an excellent opportunity to join a market leading company with a strong brand.

The Survey applications engineer will be responsible for providing onshore and offshore technical support for our clients rental operations. Covering the following product ranges, Multibeam echosounders, positioning sensors and underwater positioning produces e.g. HiPAP. This is an excellent opportunity for an offshore surveyor or survey technician who is seeking further progression in their career.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Planning, Mobilisation, Operation and demobilisation of rental projects
  • Provide Technical Support as required
  • Perform workshop testing and maintenance on rental products
  • Support trials of new and existing equipment
  • Communicate with clients
  • Installation, commissioning and upgrade of products
  • Writing of field operation procedures
  • Conduct application specific training

Requirements:

  • HND or HNC in Electrical / Electronic Engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years providing technical support for hydroacoustic products
  • Minimum of 3 years working as part of an offshore survey team
  • Ideally hold full UK North Sea Certification
  • Happy to work overseas and offshore as required
  • Experienced with survey positioning / survey construction operations
