Our client, a leading oil & gas operator, has a requirement for a Well Intervention Engineer Manager for a 12 month contract (INSIDE IR35), based onshore in their offices in Aberdeen.
This role is to deliver Front End Design work for multiple Well Interventions in Nigeria (SPDC), delivering barrels to the business. The role is based in Aberdeen, working within the Well Intervention Team Office, however visits to Port Harcourt, Nigeria, will be required.
- The Global Well Delivery process is followed to plan the activities - Well Proposals are received from the Assets, which are then developed through the Concept Select and Detailed Design phases, to deliver a robust plan which can be executed by the country team. These activities are classified as 'Non-Routine' and therefore a broad knowledge of well intervention tools and techniques is required by the successful applicant (Coil Tubing operations, Sand Consolidation, Perforating, e-line, slickline, Hydraulic workover, Wellhead Maintenance, Well Integrity).
- In addition to well interventions, the team also work on a number of challenging Well Integrity problems on a group of High Risk wells. These wells follow the same workflow as the Well Interventions.
- Extensive experience in a similar role required, covering the key well intervention operations as outlined above. West Africa experience beneficial but not essential.
