Performance Energy Services is accepting applications for the position of E&I Estimator.

This position will be responsible for lump sum, cost plus, unit rate and T&M project estimation inclusive of all labor, materials and construction related services for the Electrical & Instrumentation Department. The candidate must have prior experience in the Electrical and Instrumentation field to fully understand, organize, plan and finalize a detailed estimate and proposal. The candidate will be required to have knowledge of laws and regulations according to the location in which they are estimating work. The candidate must be willing to grow in his/her respective field and be a team player. The job location will be in Houma, LA.

Responsibilities:

  • Possess the ability to be self-motivated and to work with minimum supervision.
  • Reviews bid inquiries upon receipt and understands scope of work to bid.
  • Estimate labor, perform material take offs and compile bid information to execute bid letter proposals and bid forms.
  • Solicit quotes for material pricing.
  • Interface with customers regarding bid and job information.
  • Prepare cost analysis by summarizing material, labor and equipment for the projects.
  • Estimate profit / loss on each project.
  • Process change orders.
  • Fill out and distribute job cost breakdown sheets to appropriate departments.
  • Attend Pre-bid and kickoff meetings in various locations as required.

Experience/Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years estimating experience within the Oil and Gas Fabrication and Construction industries with specific knowledge of the Electrical & Instrumentation field. Minimum 5 years of job-site field experience is also required.
  • Knowledge of the current NEC, NFPA 70 and API applicable codes.
  • Understanding of current offshore and onshore construction practices.
  • Fluent in MS Office applications (Access, Excel, Word and Project). Skill in VBA programming is beneficial.
  • Oracle Primavera experience is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal skills.
  • College or Technical degree preferred.
