  • Study project specification(s) to understand owner's requirements
  • Prepare material take off, cost breakdowns on price schedule format specified by customers
  • Source, evaluate and select subcontractors/vendors quotations to meet project tender and pricing requirements
  • Prepare cost estimate(s), cost breakdown and cost summary based on technical/engineering inputs and customers' tender requirements
  • Prepare work summary and pricing proposal based on owner's specification
  • Attends sales discussions, tender clarifications for sales follow up
  • Making sales calls on specific projects
  • Attends ship inspection and or discussion with owners representative of the work scope in yard, local or overseas when required
  • Coordinate with technical and project team on technical proposal submission and enquiries
  • Perform cost trends studies to identify potential risks in project design development to devise guideline for cost estimates
  • Maintain cost database as information collation for past estimating cases and studies
  • Any other related work as required (preparing of telexes, faxes and checking of the typing of the quotation, prices, etc)


  • Bachelor in Engineering (Marine, Mechanical and/or Electrical/ Instrument)
  • Other engineering fields may be considered if the candidate has sufficient multi-discipline knowledge and experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in estimating/ project co-ordination in the marine, oil and gas industry and petrochemical/ petroleum industry
  • Experience with FPSOs, FSRUs, Offshore Platforms, onshore petrochemical plants etc.
