Saudi Aramco's Downstream Power Systems Department is seeking an experienced Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Engineer.
As the successful candidate you will have:
Bachelor degree in electrical engineering from a reputable academic institution. A master degree or MBA would be a plus.
Minimum of twelve years of professional experience in the solar sector (preferably in consultancy or engineering companies), including seven years of experience in renewable project engineering design and development, and four years of experience in renewable project finance and financial portfolio model development.
Familiarity with international codes and standards related to renewable energy.
Excellent presentation skills.
Experience in engineering leadership roles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
The ability to work independently, with an internal team, and with external partner organizations.
Fluency in English language (both verbal and written).
Duties & Responsibilities:
You will be required to perform the following:
Develop cost estimation and project financial model portfolio strategy) with LCOE (Levelized Cost of Energy) analysis including WACC (Weighted Average Cost of Capital) calculations based on different geographical project locations.
Provide engineering design/construction/commissioning consulting support to the development team in several projects, including project estimate costs, schedule and basic engineering.
Management of renewable energy generation projects in various stages of development from construction budget development and preliminary engineering feasibility studies including engineering design, construction and all activities leading to commercial operation.
Looks for ways to introduce new technology to enhance company profitability and productivity.
Review engineering design packages to ensure designs meet project standards and specifications.
Originate and carry out engineering studies to determine potential problems and remedies to existing problems, resolve complex technical problems and increase revenue.
Function as the company subject matter expert on PV plant engineering and commissioning.
Performing statistical analysis of data, resource and net energy production forecasts (including uncertainty/variability analysis and loss assumptions), design, site conditions, and technology suitability.
Lead renewable failure investigations; surveillance and facilitate real time monitoring technologies to monitor assets conditions.
Track projects as they advance from design to contract execution to commissioning to ensure that the system optimizes near-term and long-term system performance.
Develop renewable asset management plans, including inspection; repairs and assessment/monitoring methods.
Optimize processes, protect the environment, or improve safety.
