OneSubsea currently have an exciting opportunity for a Controls Proposals Engineer to join the team in Leeds.


The Controls Proposals Engineer is the Controls technical tender lead on assigned tenders and responsible for delivering the controls tender inputs. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:


* To review the relevant ITT technical specifications and raise Exceptions and Qualifications to the requirements
* To define the technical solution in accordance with the tender strategy
* To collaborate with other Engineering work package teams to define the Controls work package Scope of Work
* To develop Request for Quotation (RFQ) packages to support tender costing.
* To manage vendor and customer Controls package clarifications during the tender phase.
* To lead the Controls tender design review and obtain technical solution approval.
* To support the risk process through identification of technical and commercial risks and support the cost and schedule impact assessment.
* To create the Controls tender deliverables.
* To provide Controls technical support during the post bid clarification phase.
* To lead the Controls technical handover to the Project Execution Team after award of contracts.
* To perform miscellaneous duties as directed by their Line Manager.


For candidates with no Controls experience: The successful candidate will have the following experience as a minimum:
* The candidate must be interested in Production Controls and driven to succeed.
* The candidate must demonstrate they are already working at a Senior level within their own industry or aspiring to progress towards a Senior level.
* Project technical lead or Project systems technical lead experience would be an advantage.
* The ability to manage large scopes and to coordinate activities with multiple engineering departments and customers is required.
* Experienced in managing multiple large-scale projects.
* Experienced in managing technical product definition, technical and commercial clarification experience and customer meeting experience.

Minimum Job Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical or software engineering is preferred but an HNC/HND would be considered. Other engineering degree disciplines will also be considered.

* Proven experience in Subsea Controls equipment tendering and/or Subsea Controls design engineering.
* Detailed technical knowledge and understanding of the Subsea Production System.
* Self-motivated, takes ownership of actions and has initiative to progress on their own
* Good problem solving and analytical skills
* Commercial and Risk awareness
* Prepared for international travel at short notice
* Good knowledge in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SAP

Preferred Qualifications:

* Project management experience
