Our client is a leading company in the design and supply of Mechanical Equipment. Based in West Sussex who are currently recruiting for a CAD Draughtsman on a staff basis.

As an integral member of the small UK Drawing Office, working alongside the larger Malaysian team, the CAD Draughtsman will directly report to the Senior Draughtsman to support the Project and Process Engineering teams in the production of drawings, 3D models and standards.

The role:
Provide layouts, general arrangement and detail drawings in Solid Works and Tekla in full accordance with the company standards and clients' project specifications.
- Work as a team member dedicated to fulfilling the project design requirements.
- Monitor job progress within specified schedules.
- Assist in the development of SolidWorks, Tekla, 3D, CAD systems and standards.
- Check drawings.
- Review and comment on/approve seller drawings.
- Liaise with sub-contractors with regard to contracted-out drawings.
- Maintain drawing office records.

- Qualifications to HND/Degree level in an engineering discipline is preferred however candidates with a strong project engineering background within a technical environment will be considered.
- Previous experience of working in a 3D modelling environment is essential
- Knowledge of SolidWorks 3D is essential, knowledge of AutoCAD and Tekla advantageous
