Role Summary:

The Lead Financial Reporting Analyst has overall responsibility on supporting closing cycles relevant to the Financial Statements preparation, contributing to thequality and accuracy of internal and external reporting. The role provides a full view of the business financial statements & disclosures and includes interaction with senior leadership of the business.

EssentialResponsibilities:

The candidate will take care of the following activities:
  • Perform quarterly and year-end analyses necessary for Baker Hughes consolidated financial statement and reporting requirements
  • Coordinate the accounting for complex transactions as mergers, capitalization, equity infusion and other cross segments / entities transactions
  • Liaise with the Product Companies Controllers and teams as required to obtain information relevant for the financial close and related analysis.
  • Partner with FP&A Balance sheet & Cash flow analyst on cash flow related matters with specific focus on investing and financing flows
  • Partner with Technical Controller to communicate to the business appropriate policies application
  • Liaise with FP&A &Product Companies Controllerson ad hoc initiatives such as monthly close, new system implementations etc.
  • Drive continuous improvement in the processes related to the financial close process. Leverage analytical, leadership and creative skills to identify and implement these improvements


Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Strong finance experience
  • Bachelor's degree In Accounting or Finance, strong accounting skills
  • Strong analytical skills and maintain accuracy in all responsibilities performed
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to create and maintain positive relationships
  • Ability to adjust to varying priorities in a dynamic environment, work under pressure, and prioritize tasks to meet deadline


Desired Characteristics:
  • Experience in a Big 4 audit firm
  • Certified Public Accountant (or equivalent) (or in process of obtaining license)
