The Commercial Data Governance Lead is expected to lead the development, standardization and adoption of commercial data governance process and tools across DS partnering with the regions to ensure each region can optimize their operations from customer inquiry through to cash collection.

Roles and Responsibilities

In the role of Commercial Data Governance Lead, you willexecute the BPO plan for that specific process, including but not limited to:
  • Develop and Document Commercial Data Governance Strategy
  • Work with BH DT and Commercial Excellence teams to implement the new customer master tools as we go through separation projects
  • Implement a global template for the customer master
  • Identify and train the correct customer master business teams
  • Look for opportunities to develop and share best in class processes between regions and improve the global template
  • Work with data analytics team to develop data governance reports to identify data gaps that are affecting our ability to execute
  • Engage regional business teams to deliver their data governance priorities and data clean up
  • Work cross functionally within the BPO structure to ensure we are delivering process that meet our true business needs
  • Develop business KPI's and reports within the process
  • Train & assist users on processes, transactions, etc
  • Facilitate the User acceptance testing and provide signoff's
  • Change Agent to drive system and process adoption


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum 8 years of sales, commercial, or operations experience with progressively increasing scope and responsibility
  • Experience successfully leading cross-functional projects and process improvement; able to quickly grasp new ideas.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of enterprise processes and systems

  • Excellent communication skills: experience working across multiple levels (including executive level), functions and regions; able to clearly communicate complex information in a easy to understand manner; able to deliver message effectively verbally and in writing
  • Robust knowledge and understanding of enterprise processes and systems (e.g. ERPs, CRMs, MRPs etc..) spanning across key operational functions such as Finance, Projects Commercial and Supply Chain
  • Confidence / Assertiveness: strong influencing skills across business functions; to approach business leaders with difficult messages, defend position & drive change
  • Enjoy supporting user groups through change
  • Experience working in global business environment with sound understanding of global process and transactional flows.
  • Adaptable/flexible: being open to change (positive or negative) in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations
