Main Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Plan required feasibility studies where necessary
  • Prepare technical documentation for tendering (in collaboration with procurement department), including where necessary vendor list definition.
  • Evaluate tenders (in collaboration with procurement department)
  • Ensure alignment with company and country HSE requirements and regulations
  • Monitor, supervise and coordinate field operations (i.e. seismic acquisition) and outsourced studies (i.e. processing) verifying conformity with established time schedules, technical specifications and cost.
  • For assigned projects, check billings/invoices for accuracy and coherence with contracts and approved budgets or AFEs. 
  • Utilise Eni Angola approved procedures for SAP/Procurement activities.
  • Maintain relationships with headquarters specialist departments to ensure necessary technical support and technology applications.
  • Ensure full adherence to the Company's Health, Safety and Environment policies, procedures and standards, and demonstrate a personal commitment to Heath, Safety and Environment
  • To fully comply with Eni Code of Ethics and Law 231 principles.




Main Interfaces:


  • Liaises with Exploration Project managers and Team Leaders and the entire Exploration Staff
  • Liaise with HQ staff as necessary for knowledge sharing and to clarify and execute corporate process and reporting



  • Partners and Co-Venturers.
  • Contractors.
  • Consultants.
  • Eni headquarters Technical Services staff.
  • Government Authorities in Angola.



Qualifications & Experience:

  • The Job Holder should have a degree in Geology or Geophysics or, alternatively, a significant (10+ years at least) direct international experience and exposure in the coordination of geophysical projects both 2D and 3D. 
  • Familiarity with state of the art geophysical marine 2D/3D acquisition and processing (time/depth) methods
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English
  • People management experience

  • Good problem solving ability, good communication and people management skills, perceptive and innovative approach to tasks.
