Reports To: Global Sustainability Manager

Summary: Support global sustainability initiatives through participating in awareness activities, project and metric tracking, and collation, management and provision of necessary sustainability data in a format that supports both internal and external data reporting and business decision making needs.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in global sustainability initiatives and partner with support functions, regions, and PSLs in promoting sustainability efforts and raising awareness
  • Develop and manage a sustainability data and metrics management system. This will encompass developing new data capture mechanisms; integration of existing data sets; creation of data manipulation and analysis processes; development of a data tracking and reporting (dashboard) system; and creation of a mechanism for updating of external web site data for environmental, social and some governance items. Sustainability data will include but not be limited to:
    • Environmental Data
      • Internal environmental data i.e. energy (electricity, natural gas, general fleet, frac fleet), water, waste, etc.
      • Product environmental data i.e energy, water, waste, time, cost, Greenhouse Gas emissions, etc.
    • Social Data
      • i.e. philanthropic, training, talent attraction and retention, health and safety etc.
    • Governance Data
      • i.e. supply chain, human rights, modern day slavery etc.
  • Assist in and support the development of a Carbon Footprint Service through working with identified project teams to establish data requirements, scenario development and associated modelling needs and capabilities.
  • Help design and create a database of information on sustainability products, services and projects (internal and external) for use in BD
  • Create a Sustainability Risk Identification system covering the collation of data / information on issues as diverse as water sensitivity, flood potential, weather, human trafficking, corruption, etc.
  • Support the provision of sustainability data for internal and external reporting requirements.
  • Support the development of the sustainability sharepoint site and the internal and external sustainability web pages.
  • Support the development of sustainability targets for key sustainability metrics.


Education, Experience and Skills:


  • Minumum of two years college, as well as one to three (1-3) years' work experience.
  • Organization and prioritization skills are a must.
  • Significant data management and manipulation experience.
  • Strong experience in use of data in scenario development/ modelling.
  • Experience in data dashboard development.
  • Experience in the integration of data from multiple (different) systems.
  • Understanding of risk management and data needs.
  • Ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders across a wide range of diverse business areas.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Completion of an undergraduate degree in a scientific field preferred.
  • Project management skills preferred.
