Are you an experienced HR professional with proven knowledge of labour Law? We are seeking for a highly motivated HR Professional with focus on Employee & Industrial Relations (ER/IR) to join the HR team in Hamburg.

What's the role?

In this role, you will be responsible to manage and enable a healthy ER/IR environment at our Grasbrook Lubricants Centre in Hamburg, working closely with the site leadership team and local staff council.

You will provide Germany specific labour law expertise and ER/IR advice while acting as trusted partner and offering coaching on quality ER, Ethics & Compliance.

Furthermore, your more specific duties will be as follows:
  • Manage local consultation processes and requirements along with risks while ensuring compliance with external legislative requirements.
  • Run proactive interventions aimed at improving quality of leadership/ employee engagement through line managers.
  • Execute Germany and site-specific culture and work environment programmes including health and welfare.
  • Manage high-impact or high-risk individual or collective disciplinary, grievance or other ER/IR issues.
  • Collaborate with HR Expertise to ensure good solid knowledge of labour practices standards internally and keeping up to date with the external news and development.

Requirements

We're keen to hear from individuals who have a bachelor's or master's degree preferably in Law, Legal or any related degree. Beyond that, we'd want to hear from individuals who has the following:
  • Substantial HR related experience with proven knowledge of Labor Law.
  • Expertise on employee engagement, industrial relations and complex case management.
  • Ability to identify and understand local external market trends (economic, political, social) and derive insights to drive effectively a long-term ER/IR environment.
  • Organizational health/capability diagnostic, evaluation and design skills.
  • Strong influencing and coaching skills.
  • Deep subject matter expertise in country-specific ER/IR legislation, regulations, directives, practices and processes along with employee representative processes including collective labour agreements.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholder as well as across all levels of the organisation including an integrative leadership approach.
