Grade G Responsible for delivering software / platform engineering activities (depending on specialism), using advanced technical capabilities to fully understand user requirements, acting as the lead for the design, development and maintenance of a software system / infrastructure platform, and assisting in creating the vision to maximize value from current and emerging technologies. Specialisms: Software Engineering; Platform Engineering.The Product Manager will be intricately involved in ownership and coordination of enhancements, change & evolution of assigned product(s). The role will participate in the Application Support Program's engagement with business stakeholders & partners to enhance the existing solutions and developing new solutions as Products to deliver to the business. The role requires a thought leader that will be accountable for Agile approach applied to Product via SCRUM teams comprising internal team members, partner vendors and associated expertise. You will need to oversee the administration, configuration & customization of network applications for all new & existing implementations. The role will drive change through delivery of new systems, partnering with the Operations teams to develop IT strategies.
Key Accountabilities
Domain expertise for Application Support & business domain
Responsible for doing domain research, understanding customer requirements & creating the product vision for the organization
Provide vision & direction to the Agile development team & stakeholders throughout the project & create requirements
Participate in Scrum meetings to sketch out wireframes & solutions with the team
Plan & prioritize product feature backlog and development for the product
Maintains a long-term focus on ongoing support for product capabilities and the value stream
Assess value, develop cases, & prioritize stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy
Provide backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories
Work closely with Product Owner to create & maintain a product backlog according to business value or ROI
Lead the planning product release plans & set expectation for delivery of new functionalities
Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals
Research and analyze market, the users, & the roadmap for the product
Lead & measure quality and process alignment of the support team, and institutionalize best practices for support operations
Drive automation of various manual tasks in day to day support
Lead all key stakeholder communication plan & run resource transitions and skill-set assessment
Partner with multiple application owners, & key business users for issue prioritization
Build knowledge assets by partnering and collaborating with various multi-functional development teams
Conduct key stakeholder engagement for critical issue follow-up and action items
Participate in periodic status update meetings with Application Owners and Business users
Lead the collection of information through a customer conversation, accessing support tools, and additional support staff (service resources) if needed.
Implement & uphold processes that meet Digital Security Standards
Managing supplier capabilities, including turnaround times, pricing, and overall ability to adapt to changing requirements
Defining key performing indicators & proactively manage application performance of a system

Essential Education
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

Preferred Education
Master's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

Essential Job Requirements
10+ years of overall experience working on multiple IT platforms
Experience in Agile approaches to Product Management
Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communicator who can articulate complex technical concepts to both IT management & business stakeholders in a consumable fashion

Ability to lead others to draw conclusions from data
Exposure to Helpdesk processes
