Grade H Responsible for supporting the business through providing advice on safety aspects of activities using sound technical capabilities, helping to identify emerging risks with regards to safe working practices, ensuring compliance with the relevant safety policies and procedures and contributing to campaigns and initiatives to improve process safety with the aim of reducing operational risk.• Assists in consulting/coaching the relevant workforce concerning safety and health procedures/programs, hazard identification, and promotional activities to stimulate health and safety awareness. • Actively participates in health, safety and compliance audits, identifying gaps, creating gap closure plans and implementing solutions, and assists with incident investigations. • Works closely with the team to ensure continuous safety support and serves as single point of contact for various areas, or departments related to health and safety issues, assisting with risk assessments. • Supports the development and implementation of site-wide safety plans and initiatives for continuous improvement of site safety culture and HSSE performance, and develops and conducts safety training programs for the workforce as requested. • Complies with BP's Code of Conduct and models BP's Values & Behaviors.• Performs a variety of administrative tasks for the Safety team which may include maintaining storage of Safety files (both card copies and electronic), calendars, updating procedures, maintaining vacation schedules, scheduling meetings, ordering office supplies, ordering meals, travel/logistical arrangements, and processing expense reports. • Manage the Safety database including trending Safety data using Business Objects software, research and organizing Safety data, update HSE SharePoint website, prepare various Safety reports and other specialized reports using web intelligence software. • Establishes and maintains document control guidelines and work processes in support of all operational areas and programs. • Assists with supporting the delivery of correspondence, creating and modifying various documents using Microsoft Office. • Maintain all office equipment, including computers, copy machines and fax machines. • Complies with BP's Code of Conduct and models BP's Values & Behaviors.• Performs a variety of tasks for the Safety team which may include maintaining storage of Safety files (both card copies and electronic), calendars, updating procedures, maintaining vacation schedules, scheduling meetings, ordering office supplies, ordering meals, travel/logistical arrangements, and processing expense reports. • Manage the Safety database including trending Safety data using Business Objects software, research and organizing Safety data, update HSE SharePoint website, prepare various Safety reports and other specialized reports using web intelligence software. • Establishes and maintains document control guidelines and work processes in support of all operational areas and programs. • Assists with supporting the delivery of correspondence, creating and modifying various documents using Microsoft Office. • Maintain all office equipment, including computers, copy machines and fax machines. • Complies with BP's Code of Conduct and models BP's Values & Behaviors.• Develops and maintains networks of responsible individuals to enable the sharing of best practice and lessons learned, not only from within the business area, but also from bench-marking and learning from the broader BP Group and external sources, and helps to facilitate the safety practice standardization across sites. • Delivers specialist technical expertise to the operating entities, on all aspects of Process Safety & Integrity Management, developing systems to support the consistent implementation of practices and procedures. • Utilizes specialist technical expertise to provide safety self-verification processes, tools and analyses, conducting verification activity to assess whether activities are being conducted in conformance with safety practices and procedures. •
