Grade HResponsible for providing advice, support and coaching on HS&E related matters in support of safe, reliable and compliant operations, taking accountability for the performance of HS&E activities and driving the right safety behaviours amongst staff and partners to enable prevention, correction and control of conditions and mitigation of any adverse consequences.Provides leadership for the day-to-day management of the HSE function, creating and maintaining the global HSSE strategy, and establishing and communicating the HS&E vision and plans across the region, providing safety culture leadership and driving a 'speak up' safety culture. • Provides leadership on HS&E programmes across activities, and oversees verification activities to determine conformance with Control of Work (CoW) requirements and legislative and regulatory compliance, managing the interface with regulatory bodies. • Assesses, prioritises and manages HS&E risks consistent with other relevant risk practices and maintains an independent view on HS&E risks within risk action plans, analysing incident investigations and learnings for trends and required interventions to drive timely risk identification and sustainable risk reduction. • Ensures an appropriate safety management system is in place to provide direction and professional advice on HS&E requirements and systems, and champions continuous improvement in processes to reflect developments in HSSE policy. • Coaches and develops others to improve their leadership capability, enhance delivery of business objectives and create a performance culture. • Creates an environment that supports the business to drive HSSE excellence. • Ensures organizational readiness for all emergency situations. • In line with continuous conversations, have regular honest and constructive dialogue with team members to support performance and career development. • Ensures personal and team compliance with the BP's Code of Conduct and demonstrates a personal commitment to safety and exemplary leadership of BP's Leadership Expectations and Values & Behaviours.• Delivers HS&E related activities and deliverables in support of Operating Management System (OMS) conformance and HS&E regulatory compliance, and conducts self-verification assessments of operations to ensure adherence to all standards, practices and guidelines. • Issues and maintains HS&E procedures and guidance, and assists in developing and implementing programs, initiatives and tools to continually improve HS&E performance. • Participates in risk assessments, incident investigations and reporting as directed, contributing to the evaluation and implementation of corrective actions to mitigate risk, and challenges or escalates under-reporting of HS&E related issues. • Coordinates and analyses HS&E audits, ensuring trends are tracked. • Works with project teams to implement BP practices and procedures to systematically identify and assess specific project health, industrial hygiene, safety, and security hazards (as applicable) and mitigate risks. • Complies with BP's Code of Conduct and models BP's Values & Behaviours.• Provides leadership for the day-to-day management of the HS&E function and is accountable for all aspects of performance including the People Agenda and Financial Delivery, from planning to implementation and assurance. • Develops the global HS&E strategy, processes and metrics around safety, environmental affairs, operational reliability, emergency response and regulatory issues, communicates the HS&E vision and plans across the function, providing safety culture leadership and driving a 'speak up' safety culture. • Manages, develops and provides leadership on HS&E programmes across activities, ensuring businesses complete verification activities and conform with Control of Work (CoW) requirements and legislative and regulatory compliance, including managing the interface with regulatory bodies. •
