Our client is looking an HSE Manager. The HSE Manager evaluates the workplace environment in order to ensure compliance with all relevant statutory, regulatory, contractual and company requirements. In addition, the HSE Manager follows up action plans to improve EHS Performance and reduce likelihood and severity of EHS events and drive continuous improvement.

Based in Monaghan or Glasgow with frequent site visits.

Duties:

Behave as an example for others and provide full and active commitment in the deployment of the EHS Policies and initiatives across the organisation

Offer direct EHS guidance and mentoring to Site Managers and their teams on company sites

Provide first line support for coordinating on-site requirements for EHS

Ensure sites adhere to the correct use of personal protective equipment required whilst carrying out relevant work tasks

Monitor health and safety standards across all company sites and apply corrective and preventive action where necessary

Conduct site inspections and review site activities for potential hazards

Organise (and deliver, when relevant) adequate EHS communication to site personnel whenever required (communication on specific EHS issues, EHS awareness campaign, etc.)

Lead accident and incident investigation to ensure that all accidents/incidents are recorded, investigated and analysed to prevent reoccurrence.

Deliver relevant safety awareness training to intern

Assist the Head of EHS with any PQQ's when necessary

Attend management meetings as required

Manage HSE Officers, Advisors and any other staff within the HSE department and ensure personnel are deployed logically to sites/tasks in order to ensure maximum use of resource

Maintain good working relationships with all parties and ensure compliance with legislation and client requirements regarding HSE.

Conduct frequent internal and sub-contractor audits/ inspections including relative documentation

Ensure HSE regulatory compliance internationally across sites

Drafting and issuing of lessons learned and safety alerts

Ensuring company and customer expectations re HSE are achieved

Advising Head of HSE re all aspects of HSE compliance

Overseeing Investigative/disciplinary meeting relating to breaches of HSE within all spectrums of the business

Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
