This position is part of the BPX West Business North Facility Maintenance Team.(Florida, Bayfield Compression Facilities) The I/E Tech.s primary objective is to deliver safe, reliable operations . Maintain the integrity of the equipment, ensuring Process Safety & Personal Safety is a priority, following the Control of Work practice, adhering to Regulatory Compliance guidelines in order to maintain License to Operate, and Integrity of equipment.The I/E Technician will focus on critical mechanical maintenance issues using higher order skills including; trouble shooting, analysis, problem solving, critical thinking, diagnostic and reasoning ability. Provide high level of technical expertise, management, and guidance regarding subject discipline. Identify, report, and implement Continuos Improvement opportunities to improve business performance. This role requires a familiarization of piping, production equipment, controllers and other miscellaneous equipment associated with compression and treating facilities.*Key accountabilities : Manage as a Team member the daily workflow process for maintenance activities.-Drive site execution efficiency / production improvement.-Report defects or abnormal conditions.-Clearly communicate and work with other teams.-Provide strong Safety leadership to team and contractors..- Take an active role in closing any knowledge or skill gaps for the assigned role. -Coordinate I/E Contractors - Seek knowledge in and encourage the use of new technology to further optimize facilities runtimes.- Ensure sites are maintained to BP standards of Pride, Ownership, and Excellence.-Proficient working in Work management systems Essential Education : To be considered for the role of I/E Plant Technician - A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent.- Legal authorization to work in the USA on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.- Valid driver's license with the ability to provide a clear driving record. - A minimum of 5 years maintenance and gas compression operations experience or equivalent. - Proven ability to excel in a multi-disciplinary team environment. (Compression/ I&E Tech's, Engineering, Production).- Desire to learn multiple facility piping systems.- Proficient computer and software applications skills to include MS Word, Excel and Outlook.- Desirable criteria and qualifications : • In addition to the essential criteria & qualifications the successful candidate is likely to be able to demonstrate:- Associate's Degree in a technical field.- Oil and gas or equivalent Instrument and control industry experience.- Experience as a Senior IE technician responsible for electrical and instrumentation equipment in an industrial facility.- Maintenance Experience with Large electric-driven, compressors. Positive Displacement Compressors. (Screw& Recips.) Centrifugal Compressors.-Maintenance experience working on Gas Fired Turbines.-Maintenance experience working on Large process coolers *Eligibility Requirements: Proven ability to excel in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
